Weekend Reader #6
May 22nd, 2010
Bellum’s suggested readings for the weekend:
- Patrick Cronin in DPRK Hardliners Sink Talks? explores North Korea’s motivation for sinking the Cheonan and proposes that, whatever the reason, the reaction to it needs to be a cautious one.
- Secretary of State Hillary Clinton along with other important figures will be meeting with Vice Premier Wang Quishan and State Councilor Dai Binggou this upcoming week. Find out what will be discussed in A Weighty U.S.-China Dialogue.
- Last Monday Iran agreed to send half of it enriched uranium to Turkey. Find out the details of the agreement and why the U.S. will continue to press for sanctions in Progress or Setback–Brazil and Turkey’s Engagement on Iran.
- Finally, visit Hoover Archivists’ Musings for the latest happenings at the Hoover Institution Library and Archives. PBS just shot a segment on Hoover’s collection of political posters that will be aired on TV this May 24th.
Enjoy!
